Hi there! My name is Ally Herald and I am the proud owner of Flower Power Candle Co. LLC.
This adventure only started because I found that although I loved my wax melter and having a clean smelling home, I noticed the scents were all giving me migraines no matter what scent type or brand I purchased. I started buying soy wax candles and cutting them up (lol) to use as wax melts. One day I had *enough* ... I watched a few videos, read a few things, and bought everything you could possibly need to make wax melts. Very reasonable if you ask me!
What was supposed to be a small hobby for only myself, turned into family and friends asking to steal some of what I made. Which then turned into "you should really make this a business" and "can you make this type of scent?" and "can you go to farmers markets already?" <3
Despite me pushing back on everyone and emphasizing this is for fun... I realized it actually meant a lot more to me than it just being a hobby. This was a passion project. This made me feel creative, motivated, and gave me something to look forward to day after day, month after month... and had me excited for Christmas scents in in the summer.
After YEARS of testing, finding what works for me, and building my own confidence, Flower Power Candle Co. became an LLC in September 2026. I often see posts stating "your friends and family aren't your target audience" and I truly could not disagree more. I am so lucky to have the support of my village who pushed me to build this up into the amazing brand I know it is. The biggest part of my brand is keeping items affordable. I have found through my own health journey, that "non-toxic" products are usually a bit more expensive than the standard product. Although I use the best quality ingredients I can find to make my products, I will ALWAYS do my best to put the most affordable product on the market.
The business name comes from my "child" who is the absolute light of my life... my rescue pittie mix Flower. Flower has been my rock while navigating adulthood and all the chaos that comes from your late 20s and into the 30s. She is my best friend, my sidekick, and the reason behind everything I do. Flower was rescued from a ditch in Texas when she was only a few weeks old, and still struggles with anxiety to this day. However, she still manages to be the happiest baby, who spends her days napping in the sun, hanging out on the horse farm with me, and doing tippy-taps all around. Fun fact about Flower is she doesn't bend her front legs when she "trots" so she is always marching through life with a smile on her face (no joke, everyone who sees her out in public says "do you know your dog is smiling?"). It only made sense to name this passion project after the happiest girl in the world.
